Deaf Warriors Homecoming

On Sunday, September 14, DDP hosted a Deaf Warriors Homecoming event.  We are approaching the end of the football season and wanted to celebrate the team and bring out the fans!

We had a barbecue and face painting to get everyone pumped up for the game. The Bristol Deaf FC sent a special good luck message to the Deaf Warriors, encouraging them as they pave the way for Deaf football in Cambodia.   The team was excited to have support from overseas!  After the barbecue, fans and players all marched to the field, led by the Deaf community cheerleaders and the team.  At half time, the cheerleaders performed and fans participated in a lucky draw.  Four fans and two Deaf Warriors players also completed the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of the team.  It was a great day for the Deaf community with lots of energy and enthusiasm!
